Take the next step with tens

Counting by Tens introduces the numbers 10, 20, 30 and onward to 100. Each printable page features a large numeral with its English name underneath. The outline style leaves room to colour both parts, offering a simple way to spend time with these larger numbers. The collection follows a consistent step of ten, making the sequence the main focus.

Begin by reading a few numbers together in order. Point to each numeral and say its name clearly, then notice what changes as you move from ten to twenty or from forty to fifty. If useful, count a group of ten small objects and keep it together as one set. Several equal groups can provide a practical companion to the printed numerals.

Finished sheets can be turned into a tens number line. Put a small selection in order, hide one page and ask which number is missing. You might also start at a number other than ten and continue forwards, or read the completed sequence backwards together. Adjust the number of pages to keep the activity manageable rather than expecting the entire set at once.

Every number has its own A4 PDF, so you can print only the sheets needed for a particular session. Open a preview or download button to view the file in a new tab before saving or printing. This collection works well after the Numbers 1–10 pages, while also standing on its own as a colouring activity about number order and English number words.
