Make your cards: Print single-sided on thick, opaque paper or card. Choose A4 and “Actual size” / 100% for both pages so all cards have the same size. Colour matching pictures the same and cut along the dashed lines. Leave the backs blank. The previews above are the two pages of the same complete-game PDF.

Find matching pairs of familiar objects

Objects Memory uses everyday subjects to create a colouring activity and a matching game. The ten pictures include a teddy bear, ball, book, pencil, umbrella, backpack, alarm clock, teapot, watering can and scissors. Two copies of each drawing form the complete twenty-card set. Familiar shapes make this theme a useful starting point for naming objects and talking about how they might be used.

Before colouring, look through the pictures together and choose a few to describe. What might go in the backpack? When would someone carry an umbrella, or reach for a watering can? A child can connect the drawings with objects at home or in the classroom. These small conversations give the pictures meaning before they are hidden during the game.

Use matching colour choices for the two copies of each object, then cut out the cards along their outlines. Follow the linked rules to mix them face down and take turns revealing two pictures. Players can say the object names as they appear, keeping attention on the shared table. Remembering a location matters even when the picture revealed on the current turn does not form a pair.

The game is supplied as one PDF containing two A4 sheets, each with ten cards. Open the file in a new tab to save or print both pages single-sided on thick, opaque paper or card. Keep the backs blank and use the same print scale for each sheet. Between rounds, the finished cards can also be sorted into imaginative groups, such as things to carry or things used outdoors.
